I would like to understand Vintage's Leaders' position on the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
Of course there are many verses describing orderly worship and appropriate times for speaking in tongues, but it comes across in Vintage that speaking in tongues does not have a place today. Also, it is typically presented in a negative connotation with implications that it might not fit in or be important in 'functional charismatics'.
Please help me to understand the view of this church on this Spiritual gifting. |

| The question on this forum just encouraged me to discuss a thought that's been on my heart for a while; I don't visit forums much, so I hope it's not out-of-line. I'd just like to thank the people involved in this church because I find that the members & leaders speak of things that are often on my mind (answer a lot of things I think about) that draw blank or odd looks from members at other churches. I feel like a lot of older churches are still teaching typing to those who already use the Internet, if you know what I mean. It's not a perfect metaphor, because I still get good stuff from them, but since they've cleared the path for us, I'd like to hear more. No reply needed. |
