| Folks, one thing we'd like to ask, is that when signing up to be a part of this forum, you use your real name. It helps us connect with you and you to other. If you've already got a cool screen name like, "Longhairedboy", we would ask that you change it to your real name - First and Last. Many thanks in advance. Oh, and Graham Bennett, don't worry, you can use "Longhairedboy" anywhere else. |

is it possible for the admin to change our profile name for us? in this phpbb style, it doesn't appear that we are able to change our profile name without creating a whole new profile. am i wrong on that?
one other thing that can help is to place information in your signature that details who you are, so that posts with each post, as well. i've done this (showing my name as sharon b) & so have a few others, which has made it quite helpful.
pictures are also good but i haven't had time to resize any to add for my avatar so i'm pictureless for now.

| Some of the advertisements (e.g. freemarriage.com for finding a wife/husband) don't really seem to fit the purpose of this site. Can we get the advertisements removed? Or, are they here intentionally? |

We looked into the situation and found out for a very minimal price, we could get rid of the advertisements. So, they are gone--good work Rob Davis!

I have no idea where else to put this, but I cannot submit a post without opening the Vintage forums in another tab simultaneously.
And, it would appear, I need to open a new tab - I can't just have the second one open. |

The cost was very minimal but thanks so much for the gracious offer. Also, thanks for bringing the ads to our attention--we certainly did not want some of them up on our forums.

I don't mind changing my cool username to my real name... :)
