Another class is starting up!!! Learn how to deepen your relationship and understanding of God through this class.
Journey 202 Entering the Story of God: The Study of Scripture
The form and nature of Scripture demand a certain type of reading and study. This class will seek to reshape our modernistic, westernized approach to Scripture and help us learn to read God's Word how it was meant to be read: for transformation rather than information. In this class we will examine our hearts and motivations in our approach to Scripture, seek to develop a transformational reading of the text, introduce bibliology (the theology of Scripture), and discover the importance of contemplative meditation on Scripture, a long neglected necessity in the life of the modern Christ-follower.
Every Monday for 4 weeks starting April 28th, 7pm-8:30 at Vintage21 building. To register email: Journeyclasses@vintage21.com Please provide your name, age, owner status, and childcare needs! |

|
|
| We'd like to attend one of the Journey classes but the HG we attend meets on Monday nights. I guess we could skip HG for a month but we feel being committed to our group is very important. It would be a wonderful opportunity for the members and leaders of our group if the classes were eventually offered another time during the week. If not I understand, just something to consider. |

|

Great question about the Journey schedule. There's a couple of answers to its design right now:
1) Simply put, any night we choose to have classes will conflict with something going on at church (homegroups, events, band practice, etc.), but from what we can tell, Mondays tend to be the best option b/c there are just less homegroups/events on that night.
2) We would like to offer classes on multiple nights during the week but simply do not have the resources to do so at this point. Our hope and prayer is that as the church matures and understands their role in God's work, more people would rise up and serve as teachers for the classes. At that point we would be able to offer these classes several times a week.
3) We have talked a bit about picking a different night for one of our class quarters to allow different people to attend. This is not finalized yet but may be an alternative in the future. But again, scheduling becomes an issue here. |
