Hey, I agree that we can all pray more. The scriptures talk about "praying without ceasing," and I don't know anyone who accomplishes that. At least not in an on-going way.

Have you ever wondered what the deal is with praying? God has led me to ponder a lot about prayer in my first year of service as the deacon of the prayer ministry at V21. If you ever want to sit down and discuss prayer, please find a friend and do that. If you want, I'll be that friend.

The prayer ministry includes people who are committed to praying for the needs of the church--locally and worldwide. But I agree with the idea that prayer will start small before it will grow large. That is, it will exist in small settings like home groups, one-on-one relationships, and your personal relationship with God. And through that it will become a larger movement, a larger characteristic of our church body as a whole.

I'm so glad to live in the community of Vintage21. Let's talk to God more.
